There are a group of scientists who theorize that we are living in a holographic universe of what would be a projection of a smaller universe. This song metaphorically symbolizes that all that is evil that is blamed on the superficiality of life is indeed wrong. And in the real universe it must be a very backwards dream to torture, kill, rape, steal, murder, and genocide. As the lyric says. so let the darkness shine is a kin to letting the truth shine.
